Walking Valencia
When to walk
Spring — Las Fallas in March sets the tone. After that, warm days, open plazas, and the beach starting to fill. The Turia Gardens are at their greenest.
Summer — Hot and beachy. The city empties into El Cabanyal and Malvarrosa. Morning walks are best — by noon you will want horchata and shade.
Autumn — Still warm through October. The crowds thin, the light softens, and the old town feels like it belongs to you again.
Winter — Mild by European standards. Perfect walking weather. The City of Arts & Sciences looks best under grey skies — all that white against the clouds.
