ThereUGo ("we," "us," or "our") provides self-guided audio walking tours through a web application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services.
We keep this simple because we collect very little data.
What We Collect
Information you provide
Email address — When you purchase a walk or bundle, we ask for your email address. We use it to send your activation code and, if needed, account recovery information. That's it.
Information collected automatically
Device identifier — When you activate a purchase, we generate a random identifier for your device. This lets us enforce the two-device limit included with every purchase. We don't use this to track you across the web or share it with advertisers.
Basic analytics — We collect anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, general location by country) to understand how people use the app. This data cannot identify you personally and does not use cookies that require consent.
Information we don't collect
- We don't store your payment card details (Stripe handles this)
- We don't track your GPS location
- We don't collect your name, phone number, or physical address
- We don't build advertising profiles
How We Use Your Information

We do not use your email for marketing unless you explicitly opt in. Purchasing a walk does not subscribe you to any mailing list.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
International Data Transfers
Our service providers operate in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Stripe) or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Cloudflare, Neon, Vercel).
How Long We Keep Your Data

Your Rights

Note: If you request deletion and have an active purchase, you'll lose access to your walks. We may retain records required for tax and legal compliance.
Cookies
ThereUGo uses only essential cookies required for the app to function (such as remembering your preferences and download status). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that require consent.
Children
ThereUGo is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email if we have your address.
