Granada

Where the Moors left their masterpiece.

A city built where the mountains meet the plains. The Alhambra gets all the attention, but the neighborhoods below it tell the better story.

Walking Granada

When to walk

SpringWarm days, wildflowers on the hills, and the Alhambra gardens in full bloom. The best season for walking the Albaicín.

SummerHot in the city center but the Albaicín catches a breeze. Evening walks through Sacromonte are best — the caves stay cool.

AutumnThe Sierra Nevada gets its first snow while the city stays mild. Fewer tourists, golden light, and the tapas bars to yourself.

WinterCold but clear. You can ski in the morning and walk the Albaicín in the afternoon. The city empties and the locals reclaim it.
