Granada
Where the Moors left their masterpiece.
A city built where the mountains meet the plains. The Alhambra gets all the attention, but the neighborhoods below it tell the better story.

Walking Granada
When to walk
Spring — Warm days, wildflowers on the hills, and the Alhambra gardens in full bloom. The best season for walking the Albaicín.
Summer — Hot in the city center but the Albaicín catches a breeze. Evening walks through Sacromonte are best — the caves stay cool.
Autumn — The Sierra Nevada gets its first snow while the city stays mild. Fewer tourists, golden light, and the tapas bars to yourself.
Winter — Cold but clear. You can ski in the morning and walk the Albaicín in the afternoon. The city empties and the locals reclaim it.
